Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the cornmeal, nutmeg, cinnamon, flour, baking soda and baking powder. Mix well.
2. In another mixing bowl, combine the egg, milk, agave syrup and vanilla extract. Mix well.
3. Combine the contents of the two bowls and mix well until a light dough forms. Once mixed, place the cornbread in a non-stick baking pan then place in the oven.
4. Cook the cornbread for forty minutes, or until a toothpick can be removed from the cake cleanly. Allow the bread to cool for five minutes before serving. Serve this dish with another healthy comfort food recipe.

Changing the whole milk to 1% changes the nutritional value to:

Hi. This recipe sounds really good. May I ask what Agave syrup is?

Love love love cornbread! Agave syrup is a type of sweetener which I’ve never used. I substituted with honey and though it worked fine. I also used 2% milk.
