The P.I.N.K method is a new diet and fitness program designed specifically for women. The program is flexible and available online or through DVDs.  The focus of the diet is on eating low calorie meals along with following the exercise plan that is included with the program.

P.I.N.K. stands for Power, Intensity, Nutrition and Kardio.

  • The program lasts for 80 days
  • There are three diet phases for weight loss and one for weight maintenance
  • Three exercise plans are included

Diet Phases

Phase I – PINK Reset

This is a short phase that lasts for two weeks. This phase focuses on high protein and low carbohydrate. You consume foods that are very high in protein and vegetables while you avoid any kind of starch.  This is also called the detoxifying phase.

Phase II – PINK Primary

This is the longest phase of the program. You continue with a lot carb plan similar to the first phase, however you get to add foods that have fat burning capabilities.  This includes foods high in protein and energy shakes.  During this phase you will lose weight until you are within 5 – 10 pounds of your goal weight.

Phase III – PINK 7 Day Shred

This is the last phase of weight loss and lasts for 7 days. You eat foods that have fat burning properties and drink soups that have ingredients with fat burning properties. This phase helps with any weight loss plateaus and promotes weight loss of the last few pounds.

Phase IV – PINK Preservation

This is not as much of a phase as it is a long term plan to change your eating habits.  There is an eating plan like the previous phases and you follow this to maintain your weight loss.

Exercise Phases

Phase I

The first phase of the exercise program starts after the first diet phase is finished. Phase I of exercise lasts for 3 weeks and each exercise is 20 to 40 minutes long. The focus is on endurance activities and getting prepared for the other phases.

Phase II

Phase two of the exercise plan lasts for 3 weeks and focuses more on aerobic and cardio workouts. These activities are also 20 to 40 minutes long.

Phase III

This phase lasts for 3 weeks. This phase introduces strength training exercises to promote muscle building and toning.

Positives and Negatives of the Pink Method

Positives

  • It incorporates both diet and exercise for weight loss
  • This program offers one on one support to everyone who buys their VIP package
  • The focus is on long term, healthy weight loss

Negatives

  • The program is for 80 days and it can be difficult to stick with it for that long
  • It shouldn’t be followed by men, pregnant or nursing women
  • It is also not recommended for women with mobility and medical issues
  • This program is not flexible. You have to follow a set path for eating and exercise
  • You have to buy their protein shakes, supplements and products
  • The cost of the program (plus the supplements)

Will it Work?

The program definitely outlines some good dietary and exercise principles for weight loss. If you are able to stick with it, you will see positive results.

However, if you ever get off this diet you will most likely gain the weight back. The long term diet plan is not difficult, but it does restrict your choices significantly.

The eating plan and the exercises are very specific and it does take the thinking out of the equation. However, it does not teach you healthy habits or encourage life long behavioral changes.

For best success and life long results you must focus on lifestyle changes that include changing dietary habits and exercising more.
